About West Harrison, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

West Harrison is a small town in Dearborn County, Indiana’s Harrison Township. As of 2010, fewer than 300 people were living here. This community was laid out in 1813, the same time that its twin city of Harrison, OH was founded. In fact, the two communities are located so close together they are just divided by one street – State Street – although it does also serve as the Indiana state line.

Although Harrison is much larger, the tiny West Harrison does have a few notable businesses within its limits. Half Price Fireworks and Fischmer’s Floral Shoppe are located here, and some visitors might like to check out Harrison Paintball Supply and Moto Xtremes to get stocked up on their outdoor gear.  The Gathering Place Coffee House is also nice place to meet up with friends in the area.  Other attractions like Circling Hills Golf Course, Green Acres Canoe and Kayak Rental, and Miami Whitewater Forest can be accessed in Harrison.

The weather in West Harrison will vary from season to season, so residents rely on their different climate control systems at different times of the year. During the summer, thermostat readings can jump into the 90s, and with high humidity also common, this can make for some uncomfortable conditions. Most West Harrison residents invest in central air conditioning units to stay cool during these months.

During the winter, conditions are quite different. High temperatures might only reach the upper 30s in January – the coldest month of the year. Also, lows can fall into the 20s overnight, with a few nights per year seeing thermostat readings in the negative digits. It is easy to see that conditions could become dangerous without the right climate control systems in place, and an HVAC specialist can help residents to find the right furnace system or heat pump for their homes.
