About Greendale, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Greendale is a small Indiana city with a population of about 4,500 residents. Located in Dearborn County, Greendale was established in 1852 as a prime industrial community due to its transportation access and water quality. Greendale is situated about 26 miles from Cincinnati, so many people that live here commute into the city for work. The area is also served by the Lawrenceburg Public School System.

Although Greendale is a small community, there are a few notable things to see and do in the community. Visitors might like to check out one of the popular restaurants in the community, including the Half Moon Saloon and Buffalo Wings and Rings. Shopping is a possibility at major retailers like Walgreens or at local, specialty destinations like Gurney’s Seed and Nursery, Ski Train Depot, and Gardens Alive. Outdoor recreation is also popular in Greendale, with locations like Greendale Park and Schnebelt Park both offering cabin and pavilion rentals for events during the summer.

The Greendale area is found within a climate transitional area, situated at the northern boundary of a humid subtropical zone. The summers in the area are humid and either warm or hot, with significant rainfall. Each season, temperatures soar to above 90 degrees Fahrenheit over 20 days, typically with high humidity and dew points. When this hottest weather strikes, residents will need a cool place to retreat, and an energy efficient air conditioning unit at home can provide just that.

The winter months in Greendale tend to be snowy and cold, with average high temperatures in January reaching the mid-30s. Average lows fall to the lower 20s, and there are a few days each season that will see temperatures plummet to below zero. These are especially dangerous times, and residents will need a reliable heat pump or furnace at home in order to stay safe while protecting their greatest investment – their home – from damage.
